I'm fairly new and need some big ticket non-green items to farm and where they can be farmed.

Non green items.. They can be farmed everywhere, whites, golds, purples, light blues.

I meant more along the lines of the celestial swords, and multible types of scimitars ive heard about that sell for a lot.

Celestial Weapons- Nahpui Quarter mission, can be solo farmed with a 55 monk.
There's a thread about Colossal/Tattooed Scimitars here in the farming section a few threads down.

You do know that they are rare, and sell a lot for that reason right?

If you want to make some money go farm dead swords. Req 9-12 still sell for 30+ K ish, and you get other nice drops too. Check this topic for multiple builds to farm them (55 SoJ, W/Mo, R/Rt or Rt/R Splinter Barrage )

Ps Knowledge is Power, in this case money. So just browse through this topic and pic one of the builds you feel comfortable with. (Fow + Uw run still make good money too). I know finally have my monk in doa, so you all know what I'm going to do
